A five-day rhythm
Day 1
Old Town & oasis
Settle in, walk the Oasis Heritage Trail in the late afternoon, then climb to AlUla Fort for the view and dine in the Old Town.
Day 2
Hegra
A morning tour of Hegra from the visitor centre, lunch near the site, and sunset with a fire pit at Elephant Rock.
Day 3
Dadan & Jabal Ikmah
The Lion Tombs and the open-air library of inscriptions in the morning; Maraya and the Ashar Valley in the afternoon.
Day 4
Landscape day
Harrat Viewpoint at sunrise, a guided 4x4 safari in Sharaan, then an evening in the AlJadidah Arts District.
Day 5+
Go further
A full day to Khaybar or Tayma, a guided hike, or a slow day at the oasis and Madrasat Addeera.
Honest thought: AlUla is spread over a long valley and the big sites run on timed, guided tours. Book Hegra and Dadan before you arrive, plan one main site per morning, and keep sunsets free.
