The big events
27–29 November: Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix
A night race at Lusail International Circuit, with no Sprint this year. Book hotels early and check the official transport plan for race days.
6–8 November: MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix
MotoGP returns to Lusail under the floodlights. Three-day tickets are good value; check the shuttle times.
5 November onwards: Design Doha
The design biennial runs until 31 January 2027, centred on Fereej Al Asmakh, with Arab Design Now and public installations across the city.
19–27 November: Doha Film Festival
The Doha Film Institute’s festival, including the Ajyal youth programme at Katara. Book popular screenings early.
19 November – 13 December: FIFA U-17 World Cup
Forty-eight teams play at the Aspire Zone, with the final at Khalifa International Stadium.

Winter camping season
Qatar’s desert and coastal camping season runs from 25 October 2026 to 20 April 2027; campers register through the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change or the Bee’ah app.
National Day build-up
Flags go up across the city ahead of 18 December; Darb Al Saai usually opens in early December, and the Katara Dhow Festival runs 3–12 December.
