Day 1
Old Dubai
Al Fahidi lanes and Al Shindagha, an abra across the creek, then the spice and gold souqs before dinner.
Day 2
Downtown
Museum of the Future in the morning, Dubai Mall at midday, then a sunset slot at the Burj Khalifa and the fountains.
Day 3
Coast & art
Etihad Museum, a Jumeirah beach afternoon and Alserkal Avenue’s galleries; finish at Souk Madinat Jumeirah.
Day 4
Desert or Abu Dhabi
Choose a dawn desert outing or a full day at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Day 5+
Go deeper
Sharjah’s museums, Hatta’s mountains or an evening at Global Village; keep one slow beach morning.
Honest thought: Dubai is spread out, so plan one area per half-day and use the Metro or taxis between them. Two days give you the highlights; five let you add the desert and Abu Dhabi.
