Attractions

Rahmi M. Koç Museum

Trains, planes, a submarine and old cars on the Golden Horn; easily a half-day for families.

Scale models of Turkish landmarks in an open-air park; best on a dry day.

Istanbul Aquarium

A large aquarium in Florya, near the airport side; a full indoor morning for wet days.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre

Indoor building zones and rides at Forum Istanbul, aimed at children about 3–10.

Parks & playgrounds

Shaded paths and benches below Topkapı, right beside the tram; a perfect reset between sights.

Bosphorus-side gardens with pavilions, ponds and lawns; autumn colour in November.

Wooded slopes and Ottoman pavilions above Beşiktaş; good for a long stroll.

Maçka Democracy Park

A green valley between Nişantaşı and Beşiktaş with a playground and the cable car to Taşkışla.

Fenerbahçe Park

A seaside park with a lighthouse and playground, a short ride from Kadıköy.

Hills, cobbles and stairs make strollers hard work: a carrier helps in the old city. Ferries are step-free at most piers but busy at rush hour; hold small hands near the edge.
