Walk the players’ tunnel, sit in the England dressing room and climb the 107 steps to the Royal Box. Tours don’t run on event days, so book a quiet weekday online.

Self-guided audio tour through the home dressing room, the tunnel and the directors’ box, with the Arsenal Museum next door. Arsenal station on the Piccadilly line is a five-minute walk.

A preserved Battle of Britain airfield with Concorde and an Avro Vulcan in the AirSpace hangar and a B-17 in the American Air Museum. Book tickets online and give it a full day; from 25 October it closes at 16:00.

The 1907 racing circuit where British aviation began, with a Concorde you can board for a 35-minute tour and a strong Vickers aircraft collection. Open daily from 10:00, closing at 16:00 in winter.

The Fashion galleries trace dress from the 1700s to today, and the museum stages major fashion exhibitions.
