المساجد وملاحظات للمسافر المسلم

أماكن الصلاة وملاحظات عن الطعام
Prague has a small Muslim community, two main prayer places and very little verified halal food. Vegetarian and fish dishes are the dependable choice.

Prayer & practicalities

Jumu’ah
The Prague Mosque at Černý Most holds weekly Friday prayers; the smaller prayer space on Politických vězňů is the central option.
Prayer on the go
There are no prayer rooms in malls or museums. Carry a compact mat; quiet corners of parks or your hotel room work best.
Short winter days
Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib fall close together in December, with Maghrib around 16:00. Use a prayer app with Prague selected.
At the airport
Ask at an information desk for the quiet or prayer room at Václav Havel Airport before you go airside.
Czech cooking leans heavily on pork: vepřo knedlo zelo (pork, dumplings, cabbage), klobása sausages, ham in sandwiches and lard (sádlo) in spreads and some pastries. At the markets the ham on the spit (Pražská šunka) and the sausages are pork; trdelník is often sold with ham fillings too. Hot wine (svařák) and medovina (mead) contain alcohol; ask for hot fruit punch without alcohol (dětský punč) or hot chocolate. Fish, especially trout and carp, and vegetarian dishes such as smažený sýr (fried cheese) are the easy fall-back.
