A long, vaulted 16th-century covered market of small shops, between the bazaar and Ferhadija.

The pedestrian street of shoe shops, fashion and cafés, running from the bazaar to the Eternal Flame.

The largest mall in the centre, with international brands, a supermarket and a food court.

What to bring home

Copper coffee sets
A džezva, tray and small cups; ask whether the inside is tinned for cooking.
Bosnian coffee
Freshly ground coffee from the bazaar roasters, vacuum-packed to travel.
Rahat lokum
Soft Turkish delight in boxes, often flavoured with rose or walnut.
Engraved metalwork
Plates and pens engraved with the Sebilj or Stari Most.
Ask who made a piece and where. Check materials and shipping. Bargain politely only where invited; respect fixed prices in boutiques and artisan shops. In the bazaar, gentle bargaining over larger copper pieces is normal; mall shops keep fixed prices.
