المساجد وملاحظات للمسافر المسلم

دليل الطعام الحلال

Check halal status

IGGÖ
derislam.at — the community’s official site and mosque listings; a good first contact for local advice.
Vienna Islamic Centre
izwien.at — ask about prayer times, Jumu’ah and trusted halal butchers nearby.
Brunnenmarkt & Ottakring
Turkish and Balkan grills, bakeries and butchers around Brunnengasse and Yppenplatz. Ask each business about certification.
Favoriten
Around Reumannplatz and Favoritenstrasse you will find kebab, Turkish bakeries and grocers. Confirm meat sourcing directly.
Ask the restaurant
Confirm meat certification, alcohol in sauces and shared fryers or grills before ordering.
Austrian food often contains pork: Schnitzel is frequently pork unless stated (ask for Kalb or Huhn), sausages and Speck are pork, Schmalz (lard) appears in spreads and pastry, and wine flavours many sauces. Check gelatine in gummy sweets and cakes. At markets, Glühwein and most Punsch contain alcohol; ask for Kinderpunsch, the alcohol-free option.
