Good to know
Book a guide or tour
Khaybar and Tayma are best with a guide or a booked day trip; distances and road signs are easy to underestimate.
Start early
Leave after Fajr and breakfast; roads are long and unlit after dark.
Fuel and water
Fill up in AlUla and carry water and snacks; services thin out between towns.
Madinah is for Muslims at its heart
The central mosque area is reserved for Muslims; non-Muslims can visit the wider city.
