Old town
Inside the ring of boulevards, steps from all six markets. Charming, but streets are crowded and car-free during market hours.

Historic centre
Little Venice
Canal-side guesthouses and apartments in the prettiest corner of town; book far ahead for December.

Gare de Colmar
Station area
Practical for trains to Strasbourg and the airport, and a 15-minute walk to the old town.
Save
South-west of the centre
Champ de Mars
The park and wide avenues between the station and the old town; quieter evenings, central for everything.
Save
10–25 min by car
Stay in a village
Eguisheim, Kaysersberg or Riquewihr are magical at night once the day visitors leave; you will need a car.
Save
The old town is closed to traffic during market hours from late November to 29 December. Park outside the centre and walk, or use a park-and-ride; noel-colmar.com lists car parks and shuttles.
