Seville with children

A stroller-friendly rhythm matters more than chasing every attraction
Parks and plazas suit the sunny middle of the day in November. Cobbled lanes in Santa Cruz are hard with a pushchair; a carrier helps.

Attractions

La Cartuja
Isla Mágica
A theme park on the Cartuja island. Its 2026 Halloween season runs from 3 October to 8 November.
Muelle de las Delicias
Acuario de Sevilla
An aquarium by the river following Magellan’s voyage, with sharks and a large ocean tank.
María Luisa
Casa de la Ciencia
A science museum and planetarium in the Peru pavilion of the 1929 exhibition.

Parks

María Luisa
Parque de María Luisa
Shady paths, fountains, ponds and the doves of Plaza de América. Hire a family bike or a horse carriage.
María Luisa
Plaza de España rowing boats
Row a small boat along the canal under the tiled bridges; a favourite with children.
La Cartuja
Parque del Alamillo
A huge park on the Cartuja island with playgrounds, lawns and space to run.
Alameda
Alameda de Hércules
A wide pedestrian square with play areas and cafés where families gather in the afternoon.
Spanish families eat late: lunch from 2pm and dinner from 9pm. Halal restaurants and markets are easier with young children, and most open earlier.
