Old Town & the oasis

The most atmospheric base, beside the mud-brick lanes and palm groves. Dar Tantora The House Hotel, a restored eco-lodge with a MICHELIN Key, is here.

Quiet resort country among sandstone cliffs, near Maraya and the airport road. Banyan Tree AlUla and Our Habitas AlUla offer villas, pools and their own guides.

AlJadidah & town centre

The practical choice: apartments, mid-range hotels and good-value rooms near cafés, the arts district and petrol stations.

The Chedi Hegra places 35 rooms inside the World Heritage site, around the old Hijaz Railway station. Calm, remote and rewarded with a MICHELIN Key.

Distances are long: allow 20–40 minutes between most areas. Without a car, choose a hotel that runs transfers or book a driver for each day.
