The season
Ramadan
Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting, so most of the month falls within it. Restaurants stay open by day in Baku; plan iftar and suhoor with your hotel.
25–26 February: Kuwaiti holidays
National Day falls on a Thursday and Liberation Day on a Friday, making a long weekend. Flights and Shahdag hotels fill early.
Peak ski season
January and February are Shahdag’s prime months, with the highest lift prices; book passes and lessons ahead.
