A stroller-friendly rhythm matters more than chasing every attraction
Snow sessions of an hour or two, then a warm café, then out again. Most lifts let children under 6 ride free, and a Swiss Family Card can cut fares further.

Grindelwald
Bodmi Arena, Grindelwald
A 6,000 m² practice area for children and beginners in Grindelwald village, with Snowli Village, magic carpets, a T-bar, snow tubing, a play zone and childcare. Day tickets are CHF 28 adults, CHF 24 children.
Best for families
Wengen
Figeler, Wengen
Wengen’s central practice area, run by the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School, with conveyor belts and a Snowgarden where Snowli the mascot helps little ones learn. Free with the Wengen guest card.
Beatenberg, 45 min by PostBus and gondola
Niederhorn sledging
A 3 km run from the Niederhorn to Vorsass, suited to beginners, with Lake Thun below. Sledges cost CHF 18 to hire; the family package lets extra children ride free.

Jungfrau Ice Sports Center
An indoor rink in Matten, open October to March, with curling lanes you can book.
Grindelwald

An indoor ropes course for a stormy afternoon in the village.
Lake Thun by boat
Daily winter boats run between Interlaken West and Thun from mid-December to mid-March; warm, dry and good for a slow day.
Dress children in a thermal base layer, fleece and waterproof snowsuit, with mittens, helmet and goggles for the slopes. Sun on snow burns quickly at altitude: use sunscreen and sunglasses. Ask a doctor before taking babies or anyone with heart or breathing problems to the Jungfraujoch.
