Choose what to see — don’t try to see everything
Do not overpack museum days: fewer stops and more outdoor breaks.

Winter walks

Höheweg to Höhematte
Hotels from the Belle Époque on one side and the Jungfrau across the meadow; best at sunset.
Unterseen old town
Cross the Aare to the old church square and wooden houses of Interlaken’s older twin.
Lauterbrunnen valley floor
A flat, cleared path from the station to Staubbach Falls; easy with a pushchair.
First to Bort
A groomed winter hiking path down from First through the snow; ask at the station which sections are open.

Evenings

Eiger Run by Night
Höheweg lights
Chocolate workshop
Ice skating
Sledging by starlight on the Niederhorn
Hotel spa
Harder Kulm, Interlaken’s own viewpoint, is closed in winter: its funicular runs only from early April to late November. Mountain lifts also pause in storms, so check the live status on jungfrau.ch before each trip and keep a plan B lower down.
