Culture, design & architecture

Choose what to see — don’t try to see everything
Do not overpack museum days: fewer stops and more outdoor breaks.

Architecture walk

Lake Gardens loop
The National Mosque’s folded roof, the turquoise domes of the Islamic Arts Museum and the Moorish arches of the old railway station, all within walking distance.
Old town at the confluence
Masjid Jamek, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and Merdeka Square, then Central Market.
KLCC to Bukit Bintang
Walk the covered, air-conditioned skywalk from Suria KLCC to Pavilion, looking back at the towers.

Evenings

KLCC Park fountain
Kampung Baru stalls
Bukit Bintang lights
TRX rooftop park
Towers at night
Teh tarik at a mamak
Mosques close to tourists during prayers, especially on Fridays. Check opening days for the Petronas Towers and Forest Eco Park before you set out.
