The season
Ramadan
Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin on 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting. In Salzburg fasts run from about 05:30 to 17:30; sightsee in the morning and keep iftar simple, at Sofra or your hotel.
25–26 February: Kuwaiti holidays
A good week for Salzburg: low season in the city, high season in the ski areas. Book ski days and Hallstatt rooms early.
Mozart Week, just before
The Mozarteum’s winter festival runs from 21 to 31 January 2027. Arrive at the end of January to catch the last concerts.
